LTAD Resources
If you’ve never come across it before the Sport Information Research Centre in Canada is well worth a visit. From here you can sign up to receive press-releases and, possibly of greater interest if you live outside Canada, monthly newsletters. It is often the case that coaching related topics feature regularly in these newsletters.
Their latest newsletter is concerned with Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) with an emphasis on Canadian Sport for Life. This allows you to read a number of interesting articles on this subject and access to an online resources page. Click HERE to read the newsletter.
For some this might be a repetition of what you already know but if you’re relatively new to the subject this is an excellent place to start. There are also links to sport specific LTAD programmes developed by Canadian Governing Bodies of Sport.
It’s also worth a browse through the rest of the website as I’m sure you will find other useful resources.
